New Version of SimpleTracking.com

I recently released a new version of SimpleTracking.com. Here are the highlights:

  • Nearly a complete rewrite, making the code far more modular and manageable.
  • Nearly 100% unit tested code base.
  • Dedicated hosting instead of shared hosting. This means that the speed and reliability has increased quite a bit. The site used to go down a couple times a day for a minute or two at a time.
  • Automatic fail-over. If the site goes down, within a matter of minutes, a completely different hosting provider kicks in and takes over. This is done through a DNS fail-over service.

I also set up a feedback page (using UserVoice), that allows you to vote for the features that you would like to see on the site. This is really going to help me decide if and where to focus my time. Please head over there and get voting and suggesting!

Kick It!

it seems that the cost of sending things out gets more and more costly and it takes longer and longer to get them.I had a package sent to me from springfeild mass
thats about 500 miles to me and it is going on 4 days
i have had things from china come to me faster.
    what is going on

All of you need to chill out. The couriers and shipping services are dealing with huge volumes of deliveries, and every single person is whining like a baby about how they didn’t get the latest edition of “Ladies Underpants Digest” overnighted to them.

Deadbolt, I hope your package took 8, or even (GASP!!1) TEN days to get to you from “Springfeild.”

Also, I’m sure this blog is the right venue to complain about it.

GOSH GOLLY I HATE EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD. >:(

I have a USPS tracking number on an item shipped from Verona, Wisconsin on 28 April. However, I can get no tracking data or estimated delivery date. Wish They had used UPS or FEDEX. USPS data is
    non-existent nad the system? sucks.
